Type I

Medix offers five Type I styles of ambulance built on Ford, Chevy and Dodge chassis. Your BLS, ALS, CCT / MICU and light / heavy rescue operations will all find models to meet those demands.

  • AL 171: The largest Type I in the Medix family, this rugged design offers ample room and storage space for your growing needs. Agile enough to navigate urban or rural communities, yet spacious with 171″ long x 96″ wide module with 74″ headroom.
  • MSV-II 170: Lead BLS, ALS and heavy rescue operations with one of the longer box configurations of any Medix ambulance. Get a full 155″ of clearance from bulkhead cabinets to the rear doors, plus 48″ of aisle space to command your crew, roughhouse your gear, or carefully monitor a patient.
  • MSV-II 157: Enduring performance for every level of response. Any ALS, CCT or MICU system. Any size hospital or fire department. Any EMS service running BLS, ALS or rescue operations. Lead them all.
  • Metro Express 153: Perform with precision and urgency in a Type I ambulance that holds up to extreme use. The Metro Express 153 Type I is available on 4×2 and 4×4 conversions with LiquidSpring systems on specified chassis.
  • Metro Express RP90: Lightweight, heavy-duty response. The Metro Express RP90ES Type I provides the working clearance, rugged build quality and manufacturing repeatability to lead bariatric, CCT and ALS transport operations.

Type II

Medix offers a Transit ambulance conversion on the Ford Transit 250MR chassis. A total workhorse for ALS and BLS transport, featuring Whelen emergency, scene and load lighting for top visibility. Standard features include 3D/CNC produced wood cabinetry, HD welded steel curbside wall structure, high back tech seating and transverse 02 (Transit).

Type III

Medix offers four Type III models built on Ford or Chevy chassis. Whether you are looking for a 138” wheelbase with a 146” long module or 158” wheelbase with 170” module or lengths in between, Medix has you covered.

  • MSV-II 170: Respond to practically any service application with the longest box of any Medix configuration. The MSV-II 170 Type III is most popular with hospital-based ALC, CCT or MICU units; municipal or volunteer fire crews; and EMS services running BLS or ALS services, as well as rescue operations.
  • Metro Express 166: A versatile modular body with multiple floor plans to exceed the expectations of private, hospital-based, and municipal fire/EMS services. Get protection from the blazing heat and scene noise with high density foam insulation.
  • Metro Express 157: The Metro Express 157 makes the most of a mid-sized body offering hospital-based, municipalities and private ambulance services the ability to perform ALS and BLS functions with a modest footprint.
  • Metro Express RP90: Lightweight, heavy-duty response. The Metro Express RP90ES provides the working clearance, rugged build quality, versatility, and manufacturing repeatability to lead everything from BLS to bariatric, CCT and ALS transport operations.
