FESCO is hiring technicians with multiple skillsets. Fire Apparatus technicians do well with mechanical backgrounds in any combination of hydraulics, brakes, pumps, welding, etc.. Ambulance techs require a strong electrical background.

Looking for a secure long-term position? FESCO is a growing 72-year-old recession-proof Emergency Vehicle Dealership selling and servicing fire apparatus and ambulances. We operate service facilities in Elkridge, MD and Ashland, VA. Both locations have excellent teams and we are growing. Technician will work in our “Richmond Service Center” located in the Ashland Air Park.
We understand that most technicians have never worked on fire apparatus or ambulances, so we look for good people with the right attitude and aptitude. Every day is different so you won’t get bored and you’ll always be learning.
STRONG EMPHASIS ON ELECTRICAL & DIAGNOSTICS. Water pumps, foam systems, generators, hydraulics, air-ride systems, lighting systems, general mechanical, A/C work, etc…
Medium Duty Truck experience preferred. Heavy Truck experience is a plus. ASEs & EVTs preferred. We reimburse for testing and offer an on-going bonus plan.
Pay is based on experience and skill. Paid vacation, paid holidays, health insurance plans, 401K, and profit-sharing. No flat rate. Must have own tools.
Applicant must be serious, hard-working and dependable. No cell phone addiction – you will be using a rugged tablet so you’ll feel like you’ve been texting all day!
We are willing to train you if you have a love for big red trucks and flashing lights.
