The Francisco Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department recently accepted delivery of a new Horton 603 Ambulance from FESCO Emergency Sales; we are extremely pleased with the service that we received from FESCO. Upon our arrival at the service center, we were greeted warmly by company representatives. As we surveyed the check-off sheets, each area of the truck was explained in detail to assure our comprehension. We met the personnel responsible for the various aspects of our truck.
Todd Pittman, our sales representative, was with us for the entire process, beginning with the original ordering, continuing through the changes and additions, concluding with the delivery. Todd became familiar enough with our organization to offer suggestions of options that we might need and of others that would not be effective for us. We are particularly appreciative of his assistance with the graphics.
The entire company went out of its way to help us when they found that we had been involved in an accident on our drive into Maryland. General Manager Rick Breed made numerous phone calls on our behalf. The guys in the shop helped us prepare to return home.
Thank you for all you kindness.
Thank you for all the tremendous hospitality and support during our delegation’s visit to the Horton plant to inspect our new medic unit. We appreciated your detailed preparations and the facilitation of every aspect of our visit. With your help, all of our questions and any minor concerns were quickly addressed. Since this was my first visit to an ambulance manufacturer, I was especially impressed with the entire manufacturing process and thank you for taking the time to walk us through the plant and explain the finer points and distinctions in the Horton product. Thank you for doing that!
Again, please accept our thanks for all your outstanding hospitality and please pass on our appreciation to all of the folks at FESCO and Horton who helped make our visit both productive and informative.
A lot of time went into the decision to purchase these units. Our first step was to survey our field personnel for what they needed and wanted in an ambulance. Based on this feedback, we looked for units that solved the top concerns of climate control performance and provider ergonomics (i.e. ride quality, headroom, space around stretcher). The Fire Shop wanted improved the serviceability, disc brakes, liquid spring suspension and top quality door and cabinet hardware. Our committee also wanted to increase provider safety in every way possible. In the end, the Horton product answered all these questions the best…..
Our committee is comprised of eight (8) members and works directly under the Executive Officer. Current members of the committee are from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets and include three captains, three lieutenants, and two firefighters.
Our new Horton Ambulance looks great! It was a pleasure working with Rick Breed, Harrison Wilson and the New Delivery Team at FESCO on the integration of i4G and Horton Connect. I hope we have many more years of business with FESCO and Horton.
